Viral Karma

Once every few hundred years two remarkable things happen.

One is always good. This time? The discovery of gravitational waves has revolutionized the world of science and answered a plethora of questions allowing science to move forward to knew questions based on the discoveries made and new hypothesis for previously unanswered questions based on the same discovery.

The second… I always bad. Usually catastrophic in some manner, shape or form. And more often than not is comes in the shape of a pandemic. In the previous hundred year we faced the H1N1 Flu outbreak. 1918. This was tragic and we were well under prepared for what came for us. This is usually the case. Now we encounter the Corona-virus, causing Covid19 the disease. And like before, we are well under prepared. It’s human nature to forget our past and repeat our mistakes. It’s miraculous that we can both obey the logic of science so precisely and detect gravitational waves and then completely ignore science so precisely we miss something that the numbers tell us is a statistic probability.

Human nature is quite fascinating. We seem to always loop back to where…

Dying Philosophy

Over the last couple of decades the concept of philosophy has been reduced from what it was at its height, tools for critical thinking, down to trivia information about when certain philosophers were born and what they thought of certain concepts. Western society particularly doesn’t teach the ability to think critically. They focus on these trivialities rather than educating the individuals on how to formulate their own opinions and ideas with the tools of philosophy. We’ve successfully obstructed what philosophy really is, which is a way to acquire perspective. And now we’re faced with a western society incapable of processing complex information. It’s become common place to delegate opinion development to media and social medial platforms and sources. The development of philosophy has been left to politics…

Welcome Illusions

No caged child if no bells are rung
No bloody skirts without sirens
Listening to learn faith
To feel safe
There’s no violence
The blue bird has spoken
Indulge to forget
Let the lines blur
It’s how to lie to shadows
Angry at the food stains
With nostalgia for nice words
of “wisdom” and “knowledge”
Because no feelings would get hurt
Looking away from exploding skies
At words, “one upon a time”
The new stories are scary
Time to worry
Judging the narration
When the subtext is identical
Creepy vocabulary
Forced from the haven of familiarity
Can’t sleep thinking the wolves are coming
Picture boxes, heroine
Goodish vibes
Willing to please if allowed to smile
Gladly show up for dinner
Clean the plate
Say the food was great
As if the hook wasn’t the point
When tears scream “fact”
The solidity of steel is questioned

Symbolic Sentience

The thought of the Letters.

------------------------------------------

Symbols, but mere ideas
Random configurations up to interpretation
Not real. Rather, projections in the mind of the reader dissecting it
Loose strings more or less connecting at intersecting points
Where we join we seem to behave in patters visible to human brain
Until they realize and think that its all in their heads
An illusion they choose to embed

Three Types of Suicide

In this explanation, Jack breaks down his understanding and beliefs on the topic of stigmatized suicide and the three groups of suicidal people.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

We currently live in a world where discussions on suicide are so viciously stigmatic that they’re nearly unheard of. Sometimes the discussion is enough to help an individual, but the risk of getting institutionalized is too great to attempt the dialogue at all. We’re underdeveloped in the area as a result. Most with suicidal thoughts aren’t even planning to act on them, they’re no more than thoughts. But the inability to discuss these thoughts lead to the held energy manifesting in other ways. Many times it turns into action because there is no other way to process the information.

We should be capable, as a society, nation and planet, to discuss things without another person deciding what it is you mean by it.

In this short explanation I offer perspective on the matter by walking you through the three forms in which acting on suicide can manifest.

Let us begin…

Perceptual Layout

...serves as the one obvious distinction between the physical world and the perceiver within said physical world. And the perceiver has a sense that they are not abstract and are different from all other things within the 3D space.

The perceiver comes with inner thought. This is the internal voice of the perceiver, which they consider to be an extension of themselves, and the inner environment in which the voice is placed which feels as though it is not an extension of the perceiver.

The distinction between the perceiver of universe A and their inner thoughts can be made by comparing inner experience to outer experience.

Example:

Let’s say the outer perceiver decides they fear rollercoasters and refuse to get onboard. Upon remembering why they fear the rollercoaster they...

Perspective

The human condition has us constantly face a struggle to accept how little we know. A unique perspective is enough to re-frame our complete understanding of our lives and the people in it. At any given moment there are countless ways in which we are missing the picture obvious to others.

--------------------------------------------------------

At a café with a friend, a conversation about a person’s ability to change came up. Mike, the friend at the café, said that people lack the ability to change. That regardless of what the surface might seem like, the internal working of a person, their thoughts and feelings on what they are doing remain the same.

I disagreed. I’ve seen change in the most random or drastic of ways. So, I told him this story:

I knew a guy, 22. A composed individual, he never really broke the rules. He never stepped out of line. Because of this, his life was an endless cycle of following the rules and hating himself for being unable to break out. Self-loathing fueled madness consumed his moment to moment interactions, but he bottled that shit up. He bottled anything unacceptable to the rest of society.

While attending college on scholarship to be a criminal attorney, the way his father always wanted him to be, he worked in a law office. The pay was enough to afford him a car, a single bedroom apartment and enough play money to get that wide screen TV he never used. His tasks at the law office were small and simple, like filing, proofreading, and all the annoying phone call related things like scheduling and…

A Sure Afterlife

We don't often consider death and how it fits into the bigger experience we call Existence.

------------------------------------------

Death is an eerie thing. It’s quiet and gloomy. Dark in how it vibes.

The most solitary and lonely experience of someone’s life.

I didn’t mess up in using the word life, by the way. I believe death is a part of life. Not the end of it, rather, just some other stage in a transition...
