A Small Meal

…a small person, in such a big world

A sous-chef of words, in poetic pot swirled.

I wish to serve all who might sit at my table

Lexicographic stew just as fast as I’m able.

The phrases and words which have simmered for ages

I now strive to serve on my tables’ blank pages.

A serving spoon full, laid in lines nicely ordered

Minds’ napkin and fork on each side, neatly bordered.

Emotional spices, punctuations bold strikes,

I’ve mixed them all in with my hates and my likes

And dutifully stirred my mysterious brew

In hopes that each serving will…

Beast

…burning holes within,
Something inside seeking the light,
Slowly the path unwinds into the woods
Long and far she runs,
she runs into the woods,
With claws and screams she turns,
She turns into the beast deep within
Fur and tears but she runs,
She runs into the woods.
Moonlight in her hair,
Shadows in her life,
She's a warrior with a secret,
A secret deep and painful,
A lust for the truth she's driven by her passion for knowledge,
She sees magic,
So strong and old she sees magic beneath the trees,
She is a beast something fierce and…

Planet X (Niburu)

…Hands of eternal
Ages,
Squeezed the
Damp curtain of
Ancient
Night and
I dripped out.
Fetus-new.

Shedding the yawning
Blackness
And donning the
Light of Niburu, on its
Inevitable
Path.

A moment, dripping
Fire and ice.
The next, a molten
Furnace
Flung by
Fate, onto an
Inevitable
Path.

Careening thro Orion's
Belt.
Smashing through the
Twins, Gemini- with
Merciless
Crescendo!

Tumbling now.
Backstrokes at lightning
Speed through rivers of
The diamond-studded
Milky
Way.

O! Gilded
Blue Marble.
You were too soft and
Fertile for those you
Spawned from your
Belly.
Pitiful Mother!

Here I come...Your
Gravity compels
Me.
But…

A Christmas Stroll

…invigoration as I closed the door behind.
A simple walk around the block was all I had in mind.
I sauntered down the sidewalk, didn’t mind the chilly air
And hummed a song heard recently, I didn’t have a care.

As I approached the corner where a crowd had gathered round,
Each and every person had their eyes upon the ground.
I gently shouldered forward to the front part of the crowd
And as I got there, heard a sound, it wasn’t very loud.

A small disconsolate whimpering, not quite an actual sob
Caused by a tiny being at the…

My Time To Shine

…I trust you with a piece of my soul?

Can I tell you my hidden secrets and trust them in your possession to hold

This may be spontaneous but the stage is calling my name

And the adrenaline inside of me is going insane

The vibration of the beat is bumping in my chest

I never done this before as I close my eyes and pray for the best

Can I trust you with my biggest fear?

I am scared of rejection but this just might just be my cure

This is my time to shine I am certain

As I…

Winter Chill

…cold, and blustery
Yet I was quite at ease
He'd left at the first whisper of spring
Returned with the winter snows
Every year I wondered
Where is it that he goes

It never crossed my mind
In all the time he was away
That he would miss me so much
And think of me everyday
He thought I would be angry
But stil, put up a mighty front
So glad I was for his return
My greeting held no affront

I'd missed our times to cuddle
When he'd made the air feel chilled
Now, to feel his crisp presence…

Her pretty face.

…sick of this dump. I was ready to jump. I saw your pretty face.

I was at my worst, just went through a divorce. Couldn't keep my life on course, living without remorse. You gave me a reason to stick around this place.

I was at my very bottom, lying on the ground rotting. Memories were haunting, everything important I forgotten. You picked me up and didn't let me go to waste.

I was sick of my job, I was sick of my life, I was sick of the mob, I was sick of my ex-wife. That's when you showed…

The Elixer

…woods at dusk, I feel a sense of pleasure
A bit of guilt mixed in with glee, my face flushed for good measure.
I look askance reflexively, though no one is around
And feel my happiness is bad, a fact that does astound.
My mind takes in what eyes behold, the pain within the world
The suffering that I cannot help; the stories never told.
My spirit feels afraid to smile when thinking of worlds’ poor
Some ravaged by diseases, some starve besides death’s door.
They seemingly live smile-less lives, their happy thoughts are few
Dark destiny their future as…

It's time.

…guess it's time.

I've got to let you go.

I can't press rewind.

But there's something I need you to know.

I was so blind.

Hurting you was never my goal.

I should have put you on a shrine.

Truth be told.

I never meant to make you cry.

I didn't know how to play the role.

Now I feel like I want to die.

Losing you has taken its toll.

Now I am serving for my crime.

With no chance of parole.

Now that you're no longer mine.

I'm losing control.

I can't seem to find.

A way to…

TwoSouls

…turbulent emotions,
dragging my ragged soul.
Going through the motions,
hoarding the time, we stole.

We lit a match and watched it burn,
setting the world ablaze.
Searching spirits that yearned,
struck dumb by the others gaze.

Finding harmony in the violence,
two hearts trapped in stone.
Finding peace in the silence,
of being together; alone.

Swallowing each other’s pain,
each a half that made a whole.
Alighting the others passions,
same speed; same…
