The fathers sin

…submission

A world filled with hate

Raised with an iron fist

To keep my morals straight

A jungle made of concrete

I slipped between the cracks

Lost inside my anger

No way of turning back

I feel others always watching

Their eyes filled with disgust

The tears I've shed in life

have turn my heart to rust

People think they know me

By seeing what's outside

My attitude is just my armor

To hide the pain and hurt inside

I'm part of the human condition

I do not carry this burden alone

There will be many other children

Whose Hearts…

Halloween's Child

…blend into the evening, my face now adorned with a mask

I steal from my house to meet cohorts, with a plan for agreed upon tasks.

Crouching low we creep into the corn field, the ears in dried husks reaching high

We quietly pick and shuck kernels underneath scudding clouds in the sky.

Patiently hiding along side the road, young demons awaiting their prey

A car makes a sound in the distance, the headlights are heading our way.

Handfuls of corn are now heaved from the dark, the hubcaps go rat-a-tat-tat!

We scatter like mice in the kitchen, who’ve been…

*Song of Fire*

…echoes and lamentations of the fatherless who cannot stand these times

Love, peace and joy are only found

in ancient folk tales

The truth has been condemned and exiled

it has become a thing of shame and remorse

As for me there is nothing left to take pleasure in

So I will sing a song of Sorrow

Nothing is left to desire or admire

Ruin ruin ruin

The whole land has become like a vast battle field

Causing untold desolation

Everyman takes pleasure in destruction

Trembling children, gnashing and gashing teeth, falling fathers and nursing nebulous nostalgia

Running to and…

Broken Dreams

…broken dreams

Only the true beauty of a mortal soul stays hidden,

Like the owls under the night sky,

Hidden by the clouds and stars

Beasts of so many colours

Feathers and fur,

Some black some blue,

Hearts held by red and white,

The strings of love entiwned,

Spring you say?

Today we speak of colours as bright as day,

Flowers and birds and bugs alike,

All of colours,

Feathers and fur,

Summer and the beauty of nature springs forth

Green and orange are now at peak,

for summer you say? Such a beautiful time,

Oh how long we've had…

Poetry to Swallow

…heart’s poetry, it is good to approach our art as poetry as if it were a game. We need to play connect-the-dots with words and feelings, paying close attention to the sound and flow of our memories, as well as their arrangement on the page. It is never too late to be a Poet.

To be a poet, you need to know when to listen and when not, as well as begin every day with a moment of silence, during the day listen to the children who are always on, we can learn as much from them as they us…

In the name of Poetry

…and explore the dinosaur fate

Or back peddle to the antediluvian world

Then fly and travel through time into the apocalyptic world if you wish I can document God 's plan of salvation pay attention with your ear

Wait until patient pay you

No misconceptions please am not ecstatic it's just a poetic roller coaster

I am a poet

If I have nothing to write I write everything

A whirlwind of words is causing a limbo jumbo in my mind

Overflowing in my heart triggering congestion and

Swelling my ballpoint

I can write on sand paper

If I run out…

Sinéad

…as her wares,

Shaves off her hair,

I don’t need to know which book she is on,

Which words have unearthed a faith in her strong

Enough to beat the nasties gone.

There’s nothing wrong with trying to stay alive.

If that’s her disguise, to find wise words

That don’t make her cry, then fine.

I don’t think that I can

Find peace in BibleBaghvadTorahQu’ran –

There’s a man jacking smack round the back of my yard.

It’s hard. And I know that by far I’m dancing with stars,

And compared to some bars mine are

High.

So I simply…

Billionaires Pay The Wall

…lightning

Frightening the size of the divide, the wall

Exciting, getting off, fighting

Beating the law, dying, drying

Autumn crumbles the humble

Kite flying, red eyed

Fiends for for green presidents

Bodies stack, relevant, payoff for the hell of it

Bar the tan, prison, uncle Sam

No hands given, bands and cuffs

Vans driven by the man, tough luck

Payless labor, the slaver filled with tricks

Slave work, catches the dipshits

Favors he says, slips up

Ignored

Fiddle with Riddles

Meddling with shit settled

Better vote, but don’t matter

No hope, the game got broke

Gettin’ sadder, rigged

The pigs…

Best of All

…those tears we never shed
There is a best of all

Of all the love we never made
Or tender moments never spent in bed
Of all sweet memories never shared
There is a best of all

Of all our children never nursed
Or for that matter, ever birthed
Of all those trips we never planned
There is a best of all

Of all the places we've never been
Of all the games we never played
Of all the dinners never cooked
There is a best of all

Of all the fights we never had
Of all the make-ups never…
