A sad, emptiness engulfs her heart,

raindrops touch her cheeks,

the storm gains strength

leaving a trail of devastation.

She desperately holds on,

defeating weak thoughts,

putting on a happy face

before tears break loose.

Her attitude is set in stone,

choosing to make the most of each precious second,

enjoying their last rainbow

walking hand in hand.
