Life Solstice

It’s all without order.

Rhymes run amok!

WTF!

    Life Solstice

It was Doug who said it first…

Let it be, see if it hurts…

It was a bit of an ambush

for sure…

Drip dry and recycle

Black and white

Light in sight

Too easy

makes us

queasy

Doug breathed it all in

Then wailed an exhale

and spat goddamnit!

What a set-up it’d been - Beauty and Laughter,

Love and Need.  Me First! And, now,

Disaster.

Too late, too late. It’s fate - our fate.

Wait! We can do it. Heal this planet -

No more taking for granted..

Reach out. Grasp another.

Sister and brother…

We, the One!

Gotta’ do what must be done.

Doug sensed it.

We scoffed and coughed.

                                     and

                                            laughed…

Doug saw it.

We hid and slid.

Further and further down & done…

into depths of no more.

We now choke with realization

Scramble to save the nation

And way beyond.

Above and below…

If we can destroy,

We can respond

Together as one

Must be done

Can’t run

Let it be - Make it fun.

See the challenge

Join hands with Doug

Lose the shrug

Exit the fringe

Jump into the solution

Only then t’will be plausible

Come to fruition

Together ‘tis possible.

Who’s Doug all a’simmer?

Look around…Check the mirror…
