The Courage to Stay
/Life can easily become overwhelming in this era of too much information and too little truth. Often we dream of giving up and running away. But what does that mean? It is into this confusion and hopelessness that the siren song of suicide can call out with the promise of peace. But it is lie. When we hear that song, we need to call out for help; be that a prayer or a call to a friend, asking for help to find the courage to stay!

Do you sometimes feel useless? Like you literally have no use. When your eyes open in the morning, do you often feel confused? Overwhelmed because you must decide how to get through yet one more day. You can't bear to be where you are, but you don't know how to run away. Do you often feel like you're invisible, overlooked, unneeded, and unseen? That it would be unremarkable if you suddenly disappeared from the scene. Well, the enemy might be telling you that story, band maybe you even feel it in your heart. But never forget the heart is deceitful, and the enemy is a liar from the start.
You're visible and seen every moment, because Jesus is there by your side. And He wants you to still be here when He returns to claim His bride. Still, He doesn't overlook your pain. And He still remembers how that feels. So He humbly asks you to believe that He still knows how to heal. But first you must give Him your pain; with open hands, give it away.
And then, trusting in His love for you, be courageous enough to stay!
