Searching For Inspiration

"Searching For Inspiration" is a poem about how one constantly looks for that glimmer of hope to keep him going.

So many doors come crashing down

smothering my spirit to bits,

but I wake up each morning, 

searching for one good thing

to help keep me going.

As the sun shines through my window

in the wee hours of the morning, 

I’m thankful to have another chance

to touch inspiration,

to comfort those tears

buried in my heart.

For today is a new beginning,

where a different chapter opens

taking my feet down a scary path,

as I look around for encouragement 

to help me take another step.
