The other side

of the divide

wants you home.

But don’t leave,

not without sweet

slights casually draped

as my day’s

best February night.

My life’s time

plunged into years,

splendid spring years

of your doing,

doing only you.

A life made

together as one

carried moments worth

more to me

than soft goodbyes.
