Once Upon A Time

It was unknown how long

They had travelled on the same train 

Without the awareness 

Just by chance they might sit side by side 

Or glance at each other

Without a thought

Then one day he called out to her 

Reminding a book 

She left behind when leaving

Since then they no longer traveled alone  

Every day on the commuter train

His eyes searched for her 

Their friendly smiles 

Short greetings

Had aroused feelings 

Then one day 

Missing was her familiar face

Thereafter no more her silhouette

Traveling alone

He wondered

Is she Ok
