No Ending

It was serendipity                 

They met and travelled together

Loved warmly and laughed heartily        

But all came to an end

He left without hesitation  

She sadly waved farewell        

They continued their journeys

In opposite directions             

Her day turned into night

The wind howled and passed 

The rain wept and stopped

But memories of him         

Clung to her heart
