Man-Made Tragedies

Never wanting are natural disasters

People are powerless against them

Big earthquakes and hurricanes

Destroyed so many lives

We blame nature for being ruthless

We ask why heaven is merciless

Never ending are human’s wars

One after the other since eons ago

Peace has become a memory

At the beginning our ancestors fought

With fists and stones

Then with the advance of time

Wars became more sophisticated

Destructive powers escalated

Man-made tragedies strike

When missiles or bombs hit

Together with their ripple effects

Famine and global disorder follow

The devastations compete natural disasters

People curse the ruthless aggressors

And wish no more wars

But they all continue to hone their weapons
