If You
/We hear a lot about love, it's magic, it's power, and our need for it. But it's difficult to put into words what love looks like. I think that's because love looks differently in different places, for different purposes, and for different people. I think often, it looks something like this:

If you've touched the hearts of those you've met
as you've journeyed through your life,
If you've shared your strength and lent a hand, in easing someone's strife, then you know the warmth
of giving and the rewards it holds in store. You know what you give returns to you, a thousandfold or more.
If you've taken time to know your friends, if you've cared about how they felt, If you've opened up and let them
close and really shared yourself, then you know that friends are precious, and you will never be alone. For no matter where you go you'll always have a home.
If in times of pain you've cried for help And just one person answered yes, if just one friend understood and didn't treat your fears with jest, then you know that love can heal all pain. That it regenerates the soul. It is the universal healer. And it's power makes us whole.
If you accept your rightful place in life among the
planets moon and stars, if you have faith in your inner feelings, and respect for who you are, then you know your life has purpose. And you know who's in control. For you've learned the simple truth of God, and His Grace has touched your soul.
