Hearing the Truth

The realization that “The truth will set you free” applies to the person hearing the complete truth, not the one who is speaks it. For once you hear the truth, your heart can process the heartache and move on. You are set free.

Lies, torment,

and anguish,

keep her harbored down,

preventing her from setting sail to new waters.

Like being in a magic trick,

the truth releases her,

letting her mourn,

finally feeling the pain,

she slowly begins to heal.

Insignificant as words might be,

the truth speaks volumes to her broken soul,

letting her tread deep waters,

rescuing her mind,

surviving another day.
