Endless Sorrow

When tragedy struck

It devasted the mother

Of the poor boy in our village

Weeping for months

Her mournful cry

Heard in our neighborhood

Still heard her wailing

On her son’s death day

Year after year at the accident site

Wholeheartedly she pled to heaven

Never could she win back her son

Only more grief laid down in her heart

How brief was her joy

Watching her child growing

How long were her grievous years

Mourning the tragedy

Villagers sighed

Wished she never had that son
