Yet those things we do not say

Wrongs which should be righted

Yet we hold justice at bay

Those hungering should be nourished

Yet we see to our own needs

Sick who should be tended

Yet we shrink from those who bleed

Evil to be vanquished

Yet we fail to do what’s good

Truth which should be valued

Yet we spread lies and falsehoods

All the world around us

There are those who need our aid

We should give what we are able

Lest better angels we betray

Shall we only mind our business

Hold ourselves off and above?

Nay, help all as we are able

And one another
