Bird Sings

Just a Poem…

Let’s all sing like the birdies sing…

Bombs bursting in air

freedom rings.

Birds sing.

In a perfect world…

My world…

Freedom rings -

For all…

No strings

The bird sings

Butterflies flutter, bees buzz…

Peace pollen in the wind

Doin’ what it does

Nor man nor beast

does naught but please.

Hi-Lily and Hi-Lo - Two of the fluffiest, cutest birdies

of all, giggle from atop a teeter-totter:

If only they knew, tittered, Hi-Lily,

that our singing is no more benign than their roaring or warring…

Yeah! chirped Hi-Lo. Like them, we sing to claim territory and to attract our females. No different from beasts, human or otherwise.

A breeze floats by wafting its message of peace.

The birds shall retain their simple glory.

For, whatever their theme,

tis never gory

No destruction nor malfunction.

No ego combustion

Just a sweet, sweet song.

Twitter’n along…

By dawn’s early light

Twilight’s last gleaming

Bird’s singing…

Peace song in flight

Let’s all sing like the birdies sing!
