You Gave Me Courage

“You Gave Me Courage” is a poem about someone being in despair with all hope vanishing. God finds him. He gives him strength to face another day. God gives him courage to stand up to life. He shows him a way out of the life he has buried himself within and brings happiness to his life.

Confusing...isn't it?

just as the rocks were tumbling down upon me

and all hope had vanished,

you found me.

You gave me the courage

to stand up to life

and understood my fears.

You showed me the way

out of the canyon

I had been buried in

and you brought happiness

into my life.
