Will We Win the Race

It all depends upon

How hard we will engage in

Preventing spread of the virus

Yes vaccine has rolled out

Thanks to our scientists

Seemingly we see the light

At the end of the tunnel

With our most advanced brain

In the animal kingdom

We have free will and volition

Some people disbelieve science

Some chose not to wear masks

Some ignore lock down

Some refuse vaccination

Brainless are the viruses

Unanimously they only have one goal

To multiple inside Homo sapiens cells

Then we spread for them

Viruses have Nature in their side

With wide transmission to human

They amount to a gargantuan quantity

Which accelerates their mutations

Then through adaptation and selection

They evolve into faster spreaders

Swiftly they run ahead of us

To win the race we need to

Stop being their accomplices

Act fast in receiving vaccine so as

To cut off virus’s lifeline

Wear masks to avoid spreading them

Before viruses gain a chance to develop

Disastrous mutants resistant to the vaccine
