Whitewashing Brownosers

A Fibonacci poem, syllable counts are 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34

————

I

may

write fibs,

because ribs

tickle at tall tales—

but, like Mark Twain, some truth prevails

in what I tell, though not as well as Twain’s rants and rails

which often will reveal that a lie sometimes lies hidden inside the tale it belies,

for the honesty of men, time and again, is judged not by the truth, but instead and forsooth, by believers who follow their deceivers.
