Weathering The Storm

"Weathering The Storm" is a poem that depicts how a couple stands strong as they battle an illness.

Tears roll silently down her cheek

as her voice cries in unspoken words

pleading with heaven to dry the rain.

Tenderly, her heart bleeds

touching the palm of his hand, 

barricading herself

in the shelter of his loving embrace.

As the two of them

face this wicked battle

waging war in his body,

standing strong like an old oak tree

weathering the storm.
