/Time was created at the Big Bang
Unleashed
No way it can be retrieved
Every moment ahead is new
A life commences at birth
Leashed by time
No way aging can be halted
Each moment ahead we get older
Our worn bodies
Long for new beginnings
Every new year we make wishes
Hoping for a fresh and better start
While the new year only subtracts
One more year from our mortal lives
Eventually life will be defeated by time
