The Price

A mind consumed by rage

enters a desolate, hateful stage

it seeks sharp blades or bullets

that drives the hand to strike and shatter

aiming at the heart of a hated foe

swearing to erase the enemy’s life

and even his shadow

But the hunter cannot see

the poison of hatred

coursing through his own veins,

is a venom that blinds his soul

to justice and forgiveness

He finds release in violence

but it is only temporary

it does not grant him peace

and the time will come

when he must pay the price

with his own blood
