The Marvel of Nature

Nature's so marvelous, all know:

when spring arrives, year upon year,

rebirth and life make the world grow;

all of earth in this hemisphere,

from east to west, vibrate and flow

with grandeur (that all tremble and fear)!

Tremble and fear, and be in awe

of Nature's majesty and source:

for from the beginning, like law,

the seasons take their destined course;

and with charge, like a lion's paw,

make known their miracle and force.

Yet, if the marvel of Nature

be so awesome and grandiose,

let her then be man's wise teacher;

so she might embrace and enclose

him as Gaia: and may feature

her intemperate climes in repose.
