The Last Dance

"The Last Dance" is a poem that reflects the journey of life we all must face at some point in our life.

In the blink of an eye

the music stops.

Like a thief in the night

with no warning,

it leaves you broken like a shard of glass,

in a million pieces 

scattered on the floor.

You reach out

to grab the last dance,

but with no rhyme or reason,

you find yourself alone

standing in silence.
