The Hollow Man
/A man with a hollow heart
wanders the world like a body
without a soul
He knows no kindness
his thoughts are steeped
in selfishness and greed
He hungers for what glitters
he starves for fleeting fames
the warmth of love escapes him
Alas, his hollow heart
cannot align with the soul’s truth
and his life dwindles
in his hunt for instinctive needs,
a survival without meaning
