The Fresh Page

I’m writing my old memories in the fresh page

I can tell you how I miss being myself.

I am being myself in the fresh page, returning from the bygone years again

Yet, I have to look back

I said somewhere—“past is that lie we want to tell truth about.”

Well, I am telling you a truth

Like an old metaphor of the fresh page

My story is boldly written today in the memories of yesterday

Universal are the themes I have written in the past

I require a fresh start

Yet, I am not a liar because

I have a past which tells the truth

And the truth is the present.

I am not repeating any issues from the past, but my idea of the world has changed

Perhaps, it is also due to the truth from the past —

I inhabit a new world.
