                               Heaven Only Knows

Faith - or, desperation - Goals

All dire, all dear …

                             Oh, yes! Heaven knows

Please! Heal! Give! Release! Bestow!

Our needs, wishes …

                              Heaven, do you know?

Self-healing our cares and Woes

We’ve tried …

                              Heaven for sure knows

So, Prayers

Prayers to where?

                    Angel’s Prayer Toss and Play?

                              Fairies Slip ‘n Slide

                                            On a Wing and a Prayer?

No!…’Fore the thought..Prayers are known

Seeds are sown…

Troubles blown

Cures, miracles found, tendered

When 

       fitting

              the     

                  Big 

                     Picture

But, what of when not?

Prayers lost to naught?

                      Heaven only knows!

Perhaps they go

To soothe our soul

                      Oh, yes! Heaven knows

Perhaps they flow

                   to strength - the length 

                                                   to go

                                                          Heaven, do you know?

Our total truth is known

On the “other side,”

For now, we know

We learn - abide…

                                   Heaven for sure knows
