She Knows Too Much

She knows something 

She should not   

And pretends 

She has no knowledge  

Of the matter 

The knowing becomes a burden 

On her mind

Increases her worry   

and anxiety 

Threatens to dictate 

Her behavior 

She has to be deliberately  

More careful  

She thinks she might leak out  

Her hidden secret accidentally 

But she dares not to confess

For fear of the consequences 

She wishes she never knew 

What she should not know  

And go on with her usual life
