Regret

Once they were intensely in love

Their journey together was full of joy

They wished to continue it into the next life

But they were challenged by fate

Then hate arose from jealousy

It clung to love like a serpent

Strangled their bond until

They could not bear each other

Their relationship was doomed

At the end only resentment was left

She tried to forget their romance

Wished time would wash it away

Many years have elapsed

Who was wrong who was right

Is no longer so black and white

Revisiting their past she only has regret
