I watch the clock

Ticking and ticking on;

You are the rhythm

Of the tick.

I am the needle

Of the clock,

Tranced by your beat.

You are an active agent.

I observe you

Like an onlooker

At the seashore

Watching the surf.

Let the world rush,

Bargain breath with bubbles.

I cherish the passivity;

I enjoy the rhythm.
