Our Path To Salvation

There is a difference between being religious and being a disciple of Jesus. Religion helps us to learn the rules and laws and how to follow them; coloring inside the lines, if you will. Being a disciple of Jesus is to learn who Jesus is, why we want to be like Jesus, and finally how to be like Him. There are ways of living, in order to be successful, but no rules or laws. And no need to color inside the lines.

The morning breeze has secrets to tell you. 

Do not go back to sleep. 

Listen to the whistle of the wind in the trees

It has new treasures to reap.

Forget what you know about listening

Learn to understand without need for words. 

With an open heart, Learn to hear

The wisdom that abounds in God's world. 

The messages that are meant for our souls,

Rarely fall from anyone's mouth.

Instead, they ride on the sound waves, 

That carelessly, we often drown out.

God's  blessings are often silent, 

For mercy and grace are not voice-bound.

So learn to seek, with your mind open wide,

The wisdom beneath the sound.

It's time to break free from dogma, 

Legalism, and religious station.

Let's tattoo God's Word on our hearts,

And expedite our path to salvation.
