There was a time, 

Not long ago.

When love was new

Unblemished by Time:

Time’s sharp words.

And Time’s ugly gestures,

When Time Had not edited

 Contentment to resentment

Yet, this current Time

Affords a pleasure

A reminder of, 

When love was new, 

Not long ago
