Night Stays Buried

Powerful men strike a pose,

beaming,

pearly white teeth,

arrogant eyes gleam,

as if nothing to hide—

night stays buried.

Camera flashes fade—

pictures silently emailed—

blackmail.

Password cracked—

secrets spilled,

oops,

media prints rendezvous.

Lights,

over what’s right—

justice,

a facade remains—

no reaction.

A river sprawls,

water ripples,

an uninviting calm,

obscuring lucid stares.

Young ladies entertain

men with wicked intentions.

Old enough to know,

know that their daughters

would do like a video game

and erase them from life,

tiptoeing into the bedroom

after the truth reached

the news channel MSNOW:

Breaking News:

Elite men ran a ring,

caught in an FBI sting.

I see ill intent—

pictures prove nothing,

but they speak of guilt.

It’s a shame—

no one cocked

loaded context,

void of context.

Shiver in shame—

snapshots found

you out—

retribution—

for unaccounted sins.
