My Children

This poem portrays a poem about a mother talking about her beloved children.

————

My children mean the world to me

I'll always have their backs

My parenting style may be carefree,

But I take pride in how my children act

I guide my kids with happiness and love

I hold my head up high

My children are gentle turtle doves

Flying lightly in the sky

I want them to experience to joy life has to give

Even though their is darkness,

The journey in life offers a reason to live

I want to be my child's friend,

But also a stern mentor

That may be difficult to comprehend,

But I'm the woman who lifts them up,

Gives them hope,

And guides their steps.

I'll always be the mother hen

Who dedicates her life to her kin
