Moonless Night

Sometimes you plans don't work out; however, the experience teaches you a valuable lesson.

The moon was absent from this enchanting twilight.

Soon, we were in the middle of a dark, moonless night.

The atmosphere filled us with bewildering fright.

Walking home in terror was our perilous plight.

Darkness choked us until our throats were tight.

Even the stars were blocked from our eyesight.

Often, we get our best ideas in hindsight.

This ill-planned journey provided insight.

Consider intuitions, no matter how slight. 

Plan out your quests early, at first light.
