Monthly Meandering

This couple enjoyed wandering through a nearby forest often. One time they got lost when the weather was changing. Fortunately, their meandering had a good ending.

We were an adventurous pair: a girl and a boy.

Our monthly meandering through the forest generated joy.

One springtime hike was filled with enormous branches.

We cut the boughs to improve our hiking chances.

On an unfamiliar path, we were filled with intense delight.

Jim suggested that we keep going until we need a flashlight.

Shortly, our mysterious strolling suffered a new turn.

Clouds were rolling in, a cause for concern.

Did Mother Nature want to punish us for doing her harm?

Could we find way home to the family farm?

Before twilight, we needed to make a plan.

I climbed a tree, the area to scan.

Jim saw our neighbor’s yurt, fashioned like a dome.

We had been wandering in circles close to home.
