Love Without Wings

She dreams of a kind of love

With eyes and ears

That sees her covert aspiration

And hears her reticent yearning

A love that can serve as a filler

To patch up all her hollows

Occupied by despairs

To Seal the crevices of distrust

A kind of love that can

Erase scars in her memories

And heal wounds in her heart

A love as balmy as warm current

That can sooth her weary soul

And mend her ragged spirit

A love that respect equality

And does not treat her like

An object for possession

A love that is not a lavish pretense

And will not get old

Nor grow wings to fly away
