like an echo, i disappeared when ignored

your promises kept coming but never arriving

keeping me awake like a river

having a bed but never sleeping

others used what belonged to me

more than i did

yet i’ve never grown afraid to keep giving

because my love grows the more i share

the more you took from me, the larger i became

instead of choosing me

you chose your pride

to fight you

and demolish every beautiful thing you’ve built

the effects of the past

and memories of you

will fade like an echo

when ignored
