Living In A Nightmare

"Living in A Nightmare" is a poem about being trapped inside a nightmare.  She loses her way in the echoes of the night.

She stands in a time warp

touching droplets falling from her baby blues, 

feeling like her arms are tied behind her back 

not able to stop the curtain from falling.

The hair on the back of her neck stands up

as she stares up at the ceiling,

feeling trapped beneath the covers

unable to move in the darkness. 

The bridge to the other side

burns to ashes, 

as she listens to echoes in the night,

losing her way in a crowd.
