Let Them

let them speak evil behind your back

let them have the wrong impressions of you

let them plot and scheme

hoping to lure you into senseless arguments

let them criticize

belittle you, underrate you

let them talk, those who seem to know better

dishing out advice to situations they know little about

stay calm

in the midst of the noise

hold your peace

in the heat of the taunts

the wheels of silence and patience

of focus and diligence

they transport one far away from troubles

and sorrows and disgrace

into unimaginable success
