Infested Waters

It can be difficult in this mile-a-minute world to discern the right thing to do or the right way to go. But we have a reliable guide if we can keep Him in our sight.

At the intersection of reality and nightmares, a broken soul shivers and weeps. Torn and shattered by relentless waves in waters of sin, unperceived.

And it is there the enemy prowls, looking for someone who will trust him. So he can pounce and devour his next unaware victim.

The father of lies stalks all of us, silently and cleverly disguised. And He pursues and woos us so eloquently, we become convinced he's on our side.

So he leads us to infested waters. Until we realize we've followed too far. And when we stop to get our bearings, we find he's concealed our North Star.

There is a remedy for this situation, this problem that plagues all of mankind. We must always keep God in our sight, trusting Him as our only guide.

Still, as confidently as the liar presents himself, he has no power over our Savior. The simple mention of the name above names destroys the enemy's arrogant behavior. 

The enemy is powerless against the Son of God. So he hopes that he can deceive us. But we know the war has already been won, and clearly the victor is Jesus.
