I Wish You Could…

I wish you could see what I see

I wish I had the words to unlock the cage containing your pain

I wish I could walk into the cell and absorb all the heavy

To make you weightless while my sentence is levied

I’d wrap my arms around you and pull it from your pores

let it consume and Mangle and eat me alive

alchemizing the trauma into love just for you to thrive

Seeing you unchained if even for a moment would all be worth it

I’d take the slaughter to set you free

Everyday I just wish it was me, if only you could see what I see

When I look at you I see paradise on all the light touches

But the darkness surrounds it and blindfolds your eyes

Never forget that you my dear are the prize
