Her Faith In Him Is Gone

Her faith in him is gone is a sad poem about a person who cannot face the illness of the one he loves. It depicts the heartbreaking moment when she realizes he can't handle it, despite his many promises to stand by her side. She feels the loss of his loving arms but leaves him alone with his lies.

Her heart shatters like glass

watching him break out in a cold sweat,

too petrified to stay on the course of love

since her illness took a turn.

From the moment their eyes first met, he knew the battle

uttering loving words,

promising to stay by her side,

only to run and hide.

She suffers in silence,

cringing inside, feeling the loss

of his loving arms,

wondering how she could be so blind.

Openly weeping with trembling chin,

she stops playing this game of tormented love,

leaving him alone with his lies,

her faith in him is gone.
