Good Ol' Sweet Country Feeling

Watching the series Nashville I heard beautiful sayings and expressions.

Some of them I wrote down to be used in a poem or lyrics for a country song.

This poem became the lyrics for a country song, that I released on my album "All Sorts ... One Guy" from 2015.

I was living in a world that was full of question marks.

I was trying to find the stars to chase away the dark.

I’ve been beside myself but now I’m back.

In a room full of people I could still feel so alone,

but now that you are here my house became a home.

I’ve been beside myself, but I picked up myself again,

riding with that good ol’ country feeling.

I can see it through a different lens now.

I only want to do right by you.

You give me your loving every day now.

You deliver healing with that

good ol’ sweet country feeling.

I was living in a world … that so not felt my own.

I looked into the mirror all I saw was my own clone.

I’ve been a different person with no meaning, but

now I got that good ol’ sweet country feeling.

You give me that good ol’ country feeling.

You give me the colour for my heart.

You give me that good ol’ country feeling

and the time for a new start with that

good ol’ sweet country feeling.
