Difficult Voyage

I start a voyage to recover a lost dream

Long ago I let it drift away

On the turbulent sea

As I had my hands full of mundane matters

Once deserted it, now I regret

Its preciousness gradually unveiled

As life experiences whisked away

Dust gathered in my mind

My missing dream, a humble aspiration

Is not worthy of any fellow feeling

Yet its sheer simplicity

I hold dear to my heart

My mission is next to impossible

With the vastness of the ocean

Whilst my dream so tiny

My boat so slow

Lacking barricade on the sea

My fear expands unrestrained

It stirs up anxiety and despair

To intimidate my resolution

Howling of storms hovers over my boat

Waves ahead soar up like burial mounds

Alone at the helm, I struggle to steer my boat

Through the troubled waters

Hoping they won’t engulf my dream
