Cherished Friends

In life, few relationships become as cherished as those we have with the pets we adore.

People contemplate God with exaltation.

Others think of lovers with adoration. 

I ponder good times with my pet. 

Years of joy I’ll never forget.

I can feel the softness of her hair.

Adoring us without a care. 

It’s her kind spirit that I revere. 

Watching her leap like a young deer.

Dogs have always been cherished friends.

I want these times to never end.
