Aging At Work

I am always here with you

Holding dark codes from the Creator

Dormant for decades

I await the cue from time

Once turned on

I move forward brakeless

Diligently carry out my work

For a greater good

To keep the world sustainable

Remember the first white hair

Astounded you in your thirties

that’s my debut

Then wrinkles on your face

That betrayed your age

The inconvenient vision change

Forced you to wear bifocals

The buzzing of ears never ceases

More are those

Insidious changes inside

The clogging of vessels

Shrinking of your brain

Dimming of memory

And many others

Then quivering joints

Waning muscles

Eventually lay you down

That's me aging at work
