Absence

There always come a moment one must let go

sometimes it’s for a while

other times, it’s forever

it’s part of the cycle of life

perhaps the possibility of losing things

should train us to both cherish them

while they’re still in our hands

but perhaps most importantly

to learn how we would live without them

irrespective of how hard that may seem

for both the things we lose temporarily and permanently

their absence speaks volumes of their value
