A Political Party, A Cult Or A Club?

A Political Party,
A Cult
Or A Club?
In open,
political party,
it professes to be,
bound by ideology,
beliefs, and
principles,
ideology it sells in
public domain,
to convince and
to recruit members,
beliefs it promotes
to win elections,
to form a government.

Behind facade of
a party-
lies inner chamber,
for hidden faces,
further down is a
concave with
tenebrous light
belonging to
unknown elders.

Twenty-four-seven,
concave is alive,
meetings,
deliberations,
discussions are held
in groups,
by elders unknown
in the public
in unusual regalia.

Papa-in-council
follows,
to fine tune
deliberations,
review then ratify;
from conclave
emerges working document
promoted by known faces.

Working document soon to
become law,
to generate policy upon
which society is
governed and led.

Policy births principle,
which creates a culture
everyone in neighborhood
adopts as a way of life.

A Party or a Cult?
Which one controls?
Papas or known political
figures,
who rules?
Working document-from
which source-public or
private?

Whoever calls tune-
dictates the pipe.
A party or a Cult?
Which do you have?
