A Familiar Tune

I hear a melody            

Softly in my heart

It baths me in soothing delight

Lulling me to a graceful peace  

From where the tune came from 

I have forgotten

Yet it sounds so familiar

Searching deeply 

Into my memory 

I see soft lips humming 

And a hand

Gently rocking a cradle

Suddenly the face of Mom appears 

Lovingly singing me a lullaby
